Oh holy crap it has been a very long while since I have written a journal...I probably should get that taken care of, no?

Hello everyone! It is Vix here with plenty of updates in store. It has been almost a year and a half that I have been too terribly active on here and that is because real life and other sites (tumblr, FlightRising) have taken over my life. So, without further ado, here is what I have been up to.

1. I AM OFFICIALLY HIRED! I received a real full time adulting job with benefits and stuff! I am SO excited to finally be starting on my adulting career! (I don't want to do this til the end of time but it does pay the bills....and health insurance....yeah!)
2. I am still arting every so often but it is more quick sketches and character designs. The reason why is because I am actually concentrating a lot on my writing. I've participated in another NaNoWriMo and have been writing several other stories off and on. My biggest project right now is Aether Academy, which I'm sure everyone has seen in my gallery. The other is more fanfic related....a Yu-Gi-Oh fanfic....because I am trash....Meh.....
3. Speaking of arts, there is another art that I have been working long and hard at. I have been singing with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and finished my first season this past May! Even better, I'm singing with them again for their 80th season! I auditioned and received (just days earlier) an email that I'm back in. SO EXCITED!
4. And with that 80th season comes a golden opportunity that I don't believe many my age can say that they have done. I get to perform at the one and only Carnegie Hall in New York City! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! ALL OF THE THRILLS AND HAPPINESS! This is such a beautiful opportunity to sing with such fantastic singers. Everyone should tune in and take a watch if it is ever broadcasted.
5. In addition to New York City, I have also been traveling more to other places. I took a trip with to Seattle, WA and we made a stop in Vancouver for a little bit. I'm hoping to add more trips to my calendar and hopefully fill up another charm bracelet with my adventures. (It's a thing I've done for years.)
6. For other serious news, I did have a few dates here and there during that year and a half of not saying anything! It was fun and I enjoyed them. At the same time, I'm happy with all of my other endeavors so far that I don't want to stop for anything. Maybe if I find someone who REALLY knocks me off my feet, I will be happy to let them in.

That's about all that's happening in life. Work, art, writing, and everything. Just lots and lots.

Most of my activity has switched over to Flight Rising and Twitter for art stuff. Apologies!

Hopefully I will start being a bit more active with the updates.

Well, it's time to post a new journal and, with that, start a new chapter in life!

I have officially moved! HUZZAH!

Vix is paying her own bills and doing her own thing and la di dah! (With the help of of course.)

So, here is what is going down right now, at least in terms of projects and general tom foolery.

1. I'm still arting. That twitter page I made? That's where most of it is going to go. Doing some portraits of well known people and making some silly observations along the way. Gives me good practice and gives me an excuse to watch more films. Win win all around!
2. Surprisingly, I'm actually writing again. I've half-assed NaNoWriMo and have about 11000 words on one story and about.....30000 for another? I'm trying to get some of my stories out and into first drafts so I can edit them. Then, when I get the courage, I may try to find an agent somewhere and, who knows? I might be published someday. You never know.
3. I'm also looking to get back into performing. I haven't sang in almost two years and it's about time that stopped. I've been looking for vocal coaches to help me train my voice again. I have an audition with the local Symphonic Choir and one of my connections there said that she would love to have me join. I have to sing a foreign language piece, part of the Messiah, and do some sight singing. (Which I suck SOOOOO hard at.) But, I'm hopeful! Maybe, if I get into this choir, I'll be able to travel a bit!
4. Speaking of travel, I want to start doing more of it. I'm sick of being stuck in one state and I want to see the wooorld....on a budget, of course but, I want to travel. I'm already picking out places to see. Hopefully, I'll be able to get there while I'm still young and restless!

THE CONTEST

The Pumpkin King, Malchior, has been holding the title of spookiest Drandie alone for far too long. He wants a bride to help him pass along his sinister blood. But, he doesn't want just any bride. Oh, certainly not. He wants one that can keep up with him, one that can match his wit as well as his looks. So, each day, The King will give a series of riddles about the agency. Pets, items, even members may find themselves at the mercy of a riddle. The first one to reach the most points by the end of the week will win the title of being the Bride of Frankenmur!

THE DETAILS

-Time Frame: October 24th-October 31st (Winners will be announced on November 1st.)
-Sign-Up: When entering the contest, you must select one of your female drandamurs to participate. You may either post a comment on this journal or write it in your first note. 
-Riddles: Every day, Malchior will introduce a riddle for the ladies to answer. This riddle will stay up for 24 hours so everyone has plenty of time to answer. (I usually post around 7:00 AM EST.)
-Answers: If you believe you have the answer to the riddle, send it in a note titled MCA Contest: Day _whatever day it is_. Always include a thumbnail or link to the drandie lady you have selected in your note. You only get to answer once so, answer wisely!
-Hints: As the answers come in, there will be hints to what the answer is NOT. This should help a little for those who are struggling to find an answer.
-Points: Each note will receive a response to whether or not they have gotten the right answer. There will also be a scorecard kept at the bottom of the page to show who is in the lead.

THE PRIZES

1 Point - 500 SG
3 Points - 1500 SG
5 Points - 2500 SG
7 Points - The first to reach seven points will have their choice between a Golden Ticket or a Blessing. (The Drandie who chooses the Blessing will always produce twins when breeding with Malchior.) Everyone else who reaches seven points will receive 4000 SG.

All participants will receive a lucky coin!

Sweet and beautiful Zovo, I admit I was skeptical when I first saw you approach my lair. I was unsure of your wit and charm with riddles but, no sooner had you started answering my riddles, I had a sense there was something very special about you, darling. Your colors became more vibrant each day and the more you came, the more eager I was to see you and listen to your answers. It is quite clear that my skepticism was not warranted and you, my love, are the perfect lady to be the Bride of Frankenmur!
